The Shoei NXR 2 Graphic Motorcycle Helmet is the new premium sports offering from Shoei that offers high quality design and top-level performance, whilst meeting the latest ECE22/06 certification.
The Shoei NXR 2 Graphic Motorcycle Helmet is made from a lightweight fibreglass shell consisting of 3D cut polyurethane foam shaping process with fibre-reinforced layer matrix. Due to the shells construction the helmet is one of the lightest on the market. The AIM (Advanced Integrated Matrix) outer shell has been designed in such a way that the impact of an accident is absorbed as well as possible over the entire shell instead of passing directly through to the rider. Shoei take pride in not only creating a safe helmet but also a comfortable one. They have their own wind tunnel to continuously improve the aerodynamics of the helmets they are designing.
The NXR 2 meets the latest ECE R22/06 standard tests along with an array of other safety measures including impact damping, the chin strap, the roll-off behaviour, the structure and the resistance. Shoei test their helmets to the max to make sure they meet all these stipulations, and they have also began to test the real life wearing experience. TO prevent any distractions caused by discomfort Shoei have starting to make improvements to all elements of the interior to improve the comfort of the helmet. An additional safety feature included in this helmet is the E.Q.R.S system which allows for the safe removal of the helmet if the rider was to get into an accident.
The NXR 2 has a similar interior of its predecessors, using the moisture absorption QuickDry Interior Fabric, with a new cheek pad design. There is 4 different outer shell constructions to achieve the best possible fit, along with removable and washable 3D centre and cheek pads to keep the helmet fresh and comfortable. The liner used in this helmet is made with a soft quick dry brushed material which offers effective sweat absorption. To keep the rider cool and comfortable the NXR 2 is equipped with a new larger forehead vent and intakes on the right and left side, allowing cooling air to travel past the rider, leaving the helmet through the exhaust vent on the rear. The exhaust vent has been included cleverly in the design to offer a spoiler effect.
This helmet comes with the latest CWR-F2 shield which has a curve that enhances the view for the rider and also features a new locking mechanism which reduces the risk of opening when riding at high speeds. The shield included is compatible with the new DKS-304 type PINLOCKEVO lens which reduces fogging in for a better rider experience in all weathers. This visor has improved its field of vision by relocating the inlock pins away from the eyeline.
